ABOUT US

OUR VALUES

We are a group of well rounded young men who are ambitious and motivated to become leaders on campus, in the community, and in our careers.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

A resolute man holds himself to a high standard with his character, integrity, and aspirations.

OUR GOALS

We strive to make a lasting impact on RIT's campus, earn positive headlines in the Rochester community, and develop our members into resolute men.

NATIONAL HISTORY

With the Assistance of Arthur Chase, Fredrick Norton Freeman founded Theta Chi Fraternity on Thursday April 10th, 1856 at 9:00pm at Norwich University. For nearly 50 years Theta Chi remained exclusively at Norwich University until Brother Park Valentine Perkins transferred to the Massachusetts institute of Technology (MIT). Assisted by Alumni, Perkins continued the Ideals of Theta Chi and on December 13th, 1902 the Beta Chapter was installed at MIT. Since then Theta chi has Spread Nation wide with over 200 chapters.

LOCAL HISTORY

We started Theta Chi at Rochester Institute of Technology as a handful of friends in the Spring of 2013. All of us wanted to contribute something more than the average student at RIT, and with this in mind we decided to start a fraternity on campus. After reviewing different national organizations we came across Theta Chi. We felt as though Theta Chi’s beliefs and traditions closely tied in with our own. Our group approached the organization and expressed that we wanted to pursue the opportunity to be recognized by both Theta Chi and the Rochester Institute of Technology.
